What is Kinetisense?

Kinetisense is a markerless 3D motion capture system that measures range of motion, posture, joint angles, and movement quality in real time. Using a simple camera-based scan, it captures data that the human eye alone can't reliably assess — subtle compensations, asymmetries, and restrictions that are often the real source of pain, reduced performance, or increased injury risk. The results are compared against normative ranges and built directly into your personalized treatment plan.

What Happens During A Kinetisense Assessment

During your scan, you'll perform a series of simple movements: squats, reaches, rotations, balance tests while the system captures your motion in 3D. The assessment takes just a few minutes and requires no special equipment on your part. Afterward, Dr. Patel reviews your results with you, pointing to the specific areas driving your pain or limiting your performance, and explains exactly how your care plan will address them.

Why It Matters for Golfers

A golf swing depends on rotational mobility through the hips, thoracic spine, and shoulders; and small restrictions in any of those areas can quietly cost you distance, consistency, or lead to back and shoulder injuries over time. Kinetisense identifies exactly where your rotation is limited or asymmetrical between your lead and trail side, so treatment and mobility work can target the actual cause of swing faults or recurring pain, not just symptoms.

Why It Matters for Tennis Players

Tennis places repetitive rotational and overhead demands on the shoulders, spine, and hips, often leading to overuse injuries like tennis elbow, shoulder impingement, or lower back pain. A Kinetisense assessment reveals asymmetries between your dominant and non-dominant side and restrictions in rotational mobility, allowing us to build a treatment and prevention plan specific to the movements your game actually requires.

Why It Matters for Older Adults

As we age, small losses in balance, joint mobility, and movement quality often go unnoticed until they lead to a fall or injury. Kinetisense objectively measures balance and range of motion, flagging early warning signs of increased fall risk or joint restriction well before they become a serious problem. This allows us to build a proactive care plan focused on maintaining independence, stability, and mobility for daily life

Why It Matters for Every Patient

Whether you're recovering from an injury, managing chronic back or neck pain, or simply want to move better day-to-day, Kinetisense removes the guesswork from your care. Instead of a one-size-fits-all treatment plan, you get a plan built on your specific movement data and the ability to re-scan over time to objectively track your progress.
